Air Serbia Business Class
Air Serbia offers a recliner business class on its A330 and A320 fleet, providing affordable premium travel from Belgrade without lie-flat capability on any aircraft.
2 routes available · Lie-flat seats · Lounge access included
Air Serbia is Serbia’s flag carrier, operating from Belgrade’s Nikola Tesla Airport to destinations across Europe, the Middle East, and select long-haul routes to New York and China. Partially owned by the Serbian government with a strategic partnership with Etihad Airways, Air Serbia serves as the primary carrier for the Western Balkans region.
Seat and cabin
The Airbus A330-200, used on the Belgrade-New York route, features business class with recliner seats in a 2-2-2 configuration offering 38 inches of pitch and 19-inch width. Notably, the seats do not convert to a fully flat bed, making this a significant disadvantage on overnight transatlantic flights compared to competitors. Each seat includes a personal entertainment screen, USB and AC power, and a pillow and blanket set. On A320neo European routes, business class uses the standard blocked-middle-seat configuration. The hard product is below market expectations for long-haul business class.
Dining and service
Air Serbia serves Serbian and international cuisine, with dishes inspired by Balkan culinary traditions including ćevapi, sarma, grilled meats, and kajmak. Serbian wines and rakija fruit brandy feature alongside international beverage selections. On European flights, a multi-course tray service is provided. On the New York route, a fuller meal service with several courses is offered. Service reflects Serbian warmth and directness, with cabin crew delivering friendly, no-frills hospitality.
Lounge experience
Air Serbia operates a small business lounge at Belgrade Airport offering Serbian snacks, hot dishes, rakija, and beverages. The lounge is compact but adequate for the airline’s operation. At outstations, passengers access contract or partner lounges, with the Etihad partnership providing some additional access. The Belgrade lounge is functional and provides basic pre-departure comfort, reflecting the airline’s regional carrier positioning rather than a premium global brand.
