Brussels Airlines Business Class
Brussels Airlines business class offers lie-flat seats on its A330 fleet, with a particularly strong network connecting Europe with Central and West Africa.
7 routes available · Lie-flat seats · Lounge access included
Brussels Airlines is Belgium’s flag carrier and a member of the Lufthansa Group, operating from Brussels Airport. The airline is particularly well-known for its extensive African network, connecting European passengers with destinations across Central and West Africa, along with select routes to North America and the Middle East.
Seat and cabin
The Airbus A330-300 features business class in a 1-2-1 staggered layout with Thompson Vantage lie-flat seats extending to 74 inches and a 20-inch width. Every seat offers direct aisle access, a 15.4-inch touchscreen, USB and AC power, and a pillow-and-duvet bedding set. The A330-200 uses the same seat type in a slightly smaller cabin. The design incorporates Belgian-inspired touches with Art Nouveau influences and blue accent lighting. While functional and competitive, the hard product does not stand out among European carriers and would benefit from a refresh on older frames.
Dining and service
Brussels Airlines partners with Belgian chefs to serve menus featuring regional specialties such as Flemish stew, Belgian chocolate desserts, and North Sea fish dishes. The wine list includes Belgian beers alongside French and European wine selections. Belgian waffles occasionally appear as a breakfast option. Service is friendly and efficient in a relaxed European style. On Africa routes, menu options also incorporate regional flavours reflecting the destination.
Lounge experience
Brussels Airlines operates “The Loft” lounge at Brussels Airport, offering hot and cold buffet options, a selection of Belgian beers, a business centre, and shower facilities. The lounge has a contemporary Belgian design with comfortable seating. At outstations, passengers access Lufthansa Group or Star Alliance partner lounges. The Brussels lounge is pleasant but modest in size, and can become crowded during peak African departure banks in the evening.
