The Boeing 777-200ER features business class in a 1-2-1 layout with Thompson Vantage XL lie-flat seats extending to 74 inches and 20-inch width. Each seat offers direct aisle access, a 16-inch touchscreen, USB and AC power, and Austrian-designed amenity kits. The Boeing 767-300ER uses an older 1-2-1 staggered layout with lie-flat seats that are functional but narrower. Austrian’s cabin design incorporates warm wood tones and subtle alpine motifs, with red accent lighting reflecting the national colour.

Dining and service

Austrian is renowned for its onboard culinary program, featuring a DO & CO catering partnership that brings Viennese café culture aloft. The signature onboard espresso service is a highlight, with flight attendants preparing fresh espresso drinks from a trolley. Multi-course meals showcase Austrian cuisine including Wiener Schnitzel, Tafelspitz, and Sachertorte for dessert. The wine list features Austrian Grüner Veltliner, Blaufränkisch, and international selections. Service is warm and unhurried, reflecting traditional Viennese hospitality.

Lounge experience

Austrian operates the Business Lounge at Vienna Airport with a terrace offering runway views, hot Austrian dishes, pastries from local bakeries, a Viennese coffee station, and shower facilities. The lounge has a refined Central European atmosphere. At outstations, passengers use Lufthansa Group or Star Alliance partner lounges. The Vienna lounge is a genuine highlight, providing an authentically Austrian pre-departure experience with Apfelstrudel and Melange coffee.
