What you should know before booking with miles
- Award seats are limited and can disappear between our search and your booking. Book as soon as you receive the instructions.
- Points transfers from bank programmes are usually irreversible. Transfer only after confirming the seat is still bookable.
- Taxes and carrier surcharges are extra and paid to the airline (for example ~£250 one-way on BA from London, ~€527 on Flying Blue Paris–New York).
- Airline programmes forbid selling, buying or bartering miles and sharing account logins. We only provide search and instructions: you book on your own account.

How much does the Flat Flights award booking service cost?
The search request is free. If we find a bookable option that matches your request you pay €149 per booking for business class (up to 2 passengers, +€49 per extra passenger) or €249 for first class, 3+ passengers or multi-programme trips. Airline taxes and surcharges are paid separately when you book.
Do I have to give you my frequent flyer password?
No. We never ask for passwords or account access. You book on your own account following our step-by-step instructions. This keeps you within airline rules and in control of your miles.
Do you buy or sell miles?
No. Airline loyalty programmes prohibit buying, selling or bartering miles, and accounts can be closed for it. We only search award availability and explain how to book with the points you already own.
What if you cannot find a seat?
You pay nothing. We tell you what we checked, the closest alternatives (other dates, airports or cabins) and, if it is better value, the cheapest business class cash fare.
How fast do you reply?
Within 24 hours for business class requests and within 12 hours for first class, usually faster. Award space moves quickly, so we send options as soon as we find them.
How many miles do I need for business class?
As of September 2026, typical one-way business class awards cost 43,000 Qatar Avios London–Doha in Qsuite, 59,000 Skywards miles London–Dubai (Saver), 60,000 Virgin points Europe–Japan on ANA, 60,000–75,000 Flying Blue miles Paris–New York and 88,000 BA Avios London–New York off-peak, plus taxes and surcharges.
Can I use Amex Membership Rewards points?
Yes. Amex points transfer to airline programmes such as Avios, Flying Blue, Emirates Skywards and Virgin Atlantic. Partners and transfer ratios differ by country, so tell us which card you hold and we check the route that costs the fewest points.
Can I book for my family or friends?
Most programmes let you book award tickets for other people from your own account (British Airways requires them to be registered as Family and Friends nominees). We flag any programme-specific rule in your instructions.
