While not offering direct aisle access like wide-body 1-2-1 layouts, the lie-flat capability on a narrowbody aircraft is distinctive in the Americas market. Each seat includes a personal entertainment screen, USB and AC power, and an amenity kit on longer flights. The 737-800 uses recliner-style business class seats with limited recline. Copa’s all-narrowbody fleet means no wide-body comfort, but flights rarely exceed seven hours given the Americas-focused network.

Dining and service

Copa Airlines serves Latin American and international cuisine with regionally inspired dishes varying by route. Options include ceviche, grilled meats, and tropical fruit desserts reflecting the culinary traditions of the Americas. The wine list features South American selections, including Chilean and Argentine wines. Service is professional and efficient with a Latin warmth. Given the shorter flight durations on most routes, meal service is streamlined but consistently well-executed.

Lounge experience

Copa operates the Copa Club lounges at Panama City Tocumen airport, offering hot Latin American dishes, a bar with cocktails and South American wines, and comfortable seating areas. The lounges serve as a relaxing transit point during connections through the Hub of the Americas. At outstations across the Americas, passengers access Star Alliance partner lounges. The Panama City lounge is pleasant and functional, handling high passenger volumes during the airline’s extensive connecting banks.
