flydubai Business Class
flydubai offers a distinctive lie-flat business class on its Boeing 737 MAX fleet, one of the few narrowbody carriers with fully flat beds, serving an extensive network from Dubai.
4 routes available · Lie-flat seats · Lounge access included
flydubai is a Dubai-based carrier operating an all-Boeing 737 MAX fleet from Dubai International Airport. The airline is notable for offering lie-flat business class seats on a narrowbody aircraft — a rare feature that sets it apart from most single-aisle operators. flydubai serves over 100 destinations across the Middle East, Africa, Central Asia, Europe, and South Asia.
Seat and cabin
The Boeing 737 MAX 8 and MAX 9 feature business class in a 2-2 configuration with fully lie-flat seats extending to 72 inches and a 21-inch width. The Thompson Vantage seats are among the very few narrowbody lie-flat products in commercial aviation. Each seat includes a 13.3-inch seatback entertainment screen on newer aircraft, USB and AC power, and a personal storage compartment. While the 2-2 layout means no direct aisle access from window seats, the lie-flat capability is exceptional for a narrowbody fleet and transforms the experience on flights up to seven hours.
Dining and service
flydubai serves Middle Eastern and international cuisine in business class, with menus varying by route and flight duration. Options include Arabic mezze, grilled meats, fragrant rice dishes, and continental options. Arabic coffee and dates are offered as a welcome service. Beverages include wines, cocktails, and non-alcoholic options. On shorter flights, a lighter meal service is provided. Service is professional and attentive, benefiting from flydubai’s positioning as a value carrier with premium aspirations rather than a traditional low-cost airline.
Lounge experience
flydubai does not operate its own branded lounges. At Dubai International, business class passengers access partner lounges in Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 when departing from either. Through the Emirates partnership, some connectivity and lounge arrangements exist. At outstations, contract lounges are provided where available. The lack of a proprietary lounge is the main gap in the flydubai premium proposition, though the onboard lie-flat experience compensates significantly.
