Hawaiian Airlines is Hawaii’s flag carrier and longest-serving airline, operating from Honolulu to destinations across the U.S. mainland, Asia, and Oceania. Now part of the Alaska Airlines family and Oneworld alliance, Hawaiian provides a distinctly island-inspired premium experience with genuine aloha spirit.

Seat and cabin

The Airbus A330-200 features business class in a 2-2-2 layout with fully lie-flat seats extending to 76 inches and a 19-inch width. While the layout does not provide direct aisle access from window seats, the cabin is intimate with only 18 seats. Each seat includes a 15.4-inch touchscreen, noise-cancelling headphones, and AC power. The incoming Boeing 787-9 fleet will introduce a new 1-2-1 suite product with doors and significantly improved hard product. Cabin design features Hawaiian-inspired patterns with ocean blues and floral motifs that evoke the islands.

Dining and service

Hawaiian Airlines serves cuisine inspired by Hawaii’s multicultural food scene, blending Pacific Rim, Asian, and American flavours. Menu highlights include poke bowls, kalua pork, macadamia nut-crusted mahi-mahi, and haupia coconut desserts. Local Maui Brewing Company craft beers and Hawaiian coffee are featured beverages. Cabin crew in aloha shirts deliver warm, genuine Hawaiian hospitality with a relaxed yet attentive service style that distinguishes the airline from mainland carriers.

Lounge experience

Hawaiian Airlines offers the Plumeria Lounge at Honolulu airport, featuring light Hawaiian-inspired snacks, tropical beverages, and views of Diamond Head. The lounge is compact but reflects the airline’s island character. With Oneworld membership, passengers also access alliance partner lounges at mainland and international airports. The Honolulu lounge experience sets the tone for the Hawaiian journey, though the facility is modest compared to international hub lounges.
