Pegasus Airlines is Turkey’s largest low-cost carrier, operating from Istanbul’s Sabiha Gökçen Airport on the Asian side of the city. The airline serves a vast network across Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia, and North Africa with competitive fares, positioning itself as a budget alternative to Turkish Airlines.

Seat and cabin

Pegasus does not offer a traditional business class cabin. Its highest product tier is the “Extra Legroom” front-row seat, providing approximately 32 inches of pitch and 18-inch width with slightly more knee room. All seats are economy-class in a 3-3 configuration on the A321neo and 737 MAX fleet. Seats do not recline on most aircraft. There are no personal entertainment screens — passengers use the airline’s app to stream content on personal devices. The experience is firmly in the low-cost carrier category with no lie-flat or premium dining options available.

Dining and service

Pegasus operates a buy-on-board model with all food and beverages available for purchase. The menu includes Turkish snacks like simit sandwiches, börek, and Turkish tea alongside standard airline snack boxes and hot meals at extra cost. There is no complimentary meal service in any cabin. Passengers can pre-order meals through the app for a discount. Service is efficient and functional, focused on the low-cost model of fast turnarounds and optional extras.

Lounge experience

Pegasus does not operate branded lounges. Passengers can purchase independent lounge access at Sabiha Gökçen and other airports through third-party providers like Primeclass. Without alliance membership, there is no reciprocal lounge network. The ground experience reflects the airline’s low-cost positioning, with check-in, boarding, and the airport experience designed for efficiency rather than premium comfort.
