Royal Air Maroc Business Class
Royal Air Maroc offers lie-flat business class on its Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet, leveraging Casablanca as a hub connecting Africa with Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas.
25 routes available · Lie-flat seats · Lounge access included
Royal Air Maroc is Morocco’s flag carrier and the first African airline to join the Oneworld alliance. Operating from Casablanca Mohammed V Airport, the airline provides a key hub connecting West Africa, North Africa, and sub-Saharan Africa with Europe, the Middle East, and North and South America.
Seat and cabin
The Boeing 787-9 features business class in a 1-2-1 staggered layout with lie-flat seats extending to 74 inches and a 20-inch width. Direct aisle access is available at every seat, with a 15.4-inch touchscreen, USB and AC power, and an amenity kit. The 787-8 uses a similar layout and product. On narrowbody 737-800 routes, business class is a recliner seat in a 2-2 configuration suited for shorter hops to European and African destinations. The 787 cabin features Moroccan design elements with geometric patterns and warm earth tones reflecting the country’s artistic heritage.
Dining and service
Royal Air Maroc serves Moroccan and international cuisine, with standout dishes including lamb tagine, couscous, pastilla, and harira soup. Moroccan mint tea is the signature beverage, served ceremonially, alongside Moroccan wines and international selections. Patisserie and pastries reflecting the French-Moroccan culinary tradition appear as dessert options. Service aims for Moroccan hospitality warmth, though consistency can vary. The best dining experience is found on flagship transatlantic and Africa routes where full multi-course service is provided.
Lounge experience
Royal Air Maroc operates a business class lounge at Casablanca Mohammed V Airport offering Moroccan dishes, mint tea service, and a bar area. The lounge is functional but modest, and the Casablanca airport experience overall is an area where the airline lags behind competitors. At outstations, Oneworld partner lounges provide access, which is a significant benefit of the alliance membership. The lounge network has improved with Oneworld access across major global airports.
