Royal Jordanian is Jordan’s flag carrier and a Oneworld alliance member, operating from Amman’s Queen Alia International Airport. Seat and cabin

The Boeing 787-8 features business class in a 2-2-2 layout with lie-flat seats extending to 73 inches and a 20-inch width. While the seats are fully flat, the configuration means window passengers must cross their neighbour to reach the aisle. Each seat includes a 15.4-inch touchscreen, USB and AC power, and a personal reading light. The A321neo serves shorter regional routes with a recliner-style business class in a 2-2 configuration. The 787 hard product is functional but falls behind competitors who offer 1-2-1 layouts with direct aisle access on similar aircraft.

Dining and service

Royal Jordanian serves Jordanian and Levantine cuisine, featuring dishes like mansaf-inspired lamb, musakhan, fattoush, and Arabic mezze with hummus, falafel, and tabbouleh. Arabic coffee with cardamom and fresh mint tea are signature beverages alongside a modest wine selection. Meals are presented on branded china with Arab hospitality touches. Cabin crew deliver service with Jordanian warmth and politeness, though the overall dining presentation is simpler than nearby Gulf carrier competitors.

Lounge experience

Royal Jordanian operates the Crown Lounge at Queen Alia International Airport, offering Jordanian dishes, a mezze bar, Arabic coffee service, and shower facilities. The lounge has been refreshed with modern Middle Eastern design. At outstations, Oneworld partner lounges provide access, which is a significant benefit given Royal Jordanian’s small independent lounge footprint. The Amman lounge is comfortable and reflects Jordanian hospitality, making it a pleasant pre-departure experience.
