How to book Qatar Airways Qsuite with Avios

Qsuite is a fully enclosed business class suite with a closing door, direct aisle access and double beds in the centre pairs. It is widely rated one of the two or three best business class seats in the world, and Qatar prices it on a fixed, published award chart, which makes it one of the few premium products you can plan with points.

How to book, step by step
- Search award space on qatarairways.com while logged in to Privilege Club ("Book with Avios"). Filter to business and check the seat map shows Qsuite, not the older seat.
- If your Avios are in British Airways or Iberia, link the accounts and use "Combine my Avios" to move them 1:1 into Privilege Club. Move only what you need: it works in both directions, but it is not always instant.
- If you hold bank points (for example Amex Membership Rewards), transfer them to Avios only after you have seen the seat. Transfers are usually irreversible.
- Book immediately on qatarairways.com and pay the taxes by card. Add your seat and meal preferences under Manage booking.
Finding award availability
- Qatar releases Qsuite award seats on most long-haul A350 and Boeing 777 flights; availability is best on Doha–Europe and Doha–Asia legs and tighter on peak dates.
- Award search tools (seats.aero, AwardFares, point.me) show Qsuite space across many dates at once; always confirm on qatarairways.com before transferring points.
- For two passengers, search for two seats: space for one does not guarantee a second.
Miles or cash?
Paying cash, a return business class ticket London → Doha starts from €1,100 and is typically €3,500 (our benchmark, September 2026). Two one-way awards at 43,000 miles each against the typical fare work out at roughly 4.1 euro cents per mile before taxes and surcharges. If the cheapest cash fare is close to the taxes you would pay on the award, keep your miles and pay cash.
Watch out for
- Not every Qatar aircraft has Qsuite. The A380 and some older 777s and 787s have a different business seat.
- Peak dates cost up to 35% more Avios. Moving your travel dates by a few days can save 12,000–24,500 Avios.
- Connecting awards are priced as a whole journey, so a stop in Doha does not cost the sum of two separate awards.
